Starting at Glenfinnan and finishing in Inverie, this trek crosses rugged glens, high passes, and remote lochs under the care of a qualified Mountain Leader. Camp beneath peaks, explore untouched valleys, and finish with a meal at The Old Forge—Britain’s most remote mainland pub.

Trip Highlights

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Fort William → Glenfinnan Viaduct → Camp in Glen Pean or Glen Dessarry

  • Day 2: Cross Bealach an Lagain Duibh → Camp near Loch Nevis

  • Day 3: Enter Knoydart → Descend to Inverie → Evening at The Old Forge

  • Day 4: Explore Inverie—choose a coastal walk or summit Meall Buidhe

  • Day 5: Ferry from Inverie to Mallaig for onward travel
