Kinlochewe to Inverie: A Highland Adventure to Scotland’s Most Remote Pub
Looking for the ultimate Scottish Highlands trekking experience? This 4-day guided adventure takes you on foot from Kinloch Hourn to Inverie, across some of Scotland’s most dramatic and unspoiled terrain. The Knoydart Peninsula — often called “Britain’s last great wilderness” — offers rugged mountain passes, glens, and soaring peaks, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable trek.
Across four days you’ll camp at remote Highland sites, summit the mighty Ladhar Bheinn (1,020m), and complete your journey in the isolated village of Inverie. Your reward? A pint at the Old Forge Inn, the UK mainland’s most remote pub. The adventure finishes with a scenic ferry to Mallaig, where you can connect with onward travel by train or bus.
This trip combines the challenge of Munro hiking, the simplicity of camping in the Highlands, and the reward of reaching a pub that can only be accessed on foot or by boat.
